Kemblefield Estate Winery has a magnificant location with stunning panoramic views, landscaped grounds overlooking terraced vineyards and the beautiful Ngaruroro River. Free draining gravelly soil, hot summer days and cool nights produce the superb fruit for our wines. Picnics and petanque overlooking the terraced vineyards. Jet boat rides and claybird shooting by appointment.

The winery itself is a combination of old and new. Some of the original winemaking equipment from the early 1900’s is still used in conjunction with the modern state-of-the-art destemmer/crusher. The barrel room, which was once part of the original stables, still displays its solid concrete walls and original trusses. The latest temperature and humidity control system ensures the wines are stored in optimum conditions. Vidal Estate welcomes everyone to tour the winery and experience the history of winemaking.
