Matariki's mission is to produce fruit driven wines of elegance and complexity, handcrafted from a tapestry of soils grown in harmony with nature. Matariki is a Hawkes Bay classic wine producer with their main vineyard on the stony soils of prestigious Gimblett Road owned by former New Zealand rugby representative John O'Connor and his wife Rosemary.

As a founding member of the Gimblett Gravels Wine Growing District, Te Awa Farm Winery is at the forefront in developing a definitive and complete process to protect a unique winegrowing area here in Hawke's Bay. The idea combines the French concept of terroir with modern day thinking to define, protect and market wine.

The cellar door opens to 'The Warmest Welcome' which is our hallmark at Trinity Hill. Our friendly staff make it our business to see that you will enjoy the 'Trinity Hill Experience'. Taste the wines and learn the stories behind them. The Cellar Door is also the venue for Art Exhibitions or local visiting artists. Picnic in their award winning gardens.
