Enhance your stay in Hawkes Bay by experiencing the joys of hot air ballooning. Flights take place in the early morning within the first few hours of sunrise. They last approximately one hour but 4 hours total excursion time is normal. After the flight, you will enjoy a traditional ballooning breakfast.
Cost : $285 per person. $220 per child 8-12 years of age. Above 13 years adult rate.

THE AMAZING MAZE 'N' MAIZE

The Amazing Maze 'n Maize is a giant maze cut into a paddock of maize (animal feed corn). The maze is approximately 12 acres, or 6 hectares in size, and will take on average 45 minutes to complete. There are over 8 kms of paths, with bridges in the middle to get your bearings or watch your friends. Trivia and joke signs are placed throughout the mazes, and visitors can choose to make it a competition or just a walk in the corn.

HAWKES BAY MOUNTAIN BIKE CLUB
Hawkes Bay Mountain Bike Club Incorporated is New Zealands largest cycling club with over 900 members (as of June 2006).
The main off-road riding spot in the region is just north of Napier on the East Coast of the North Island, set within 600ha of a privately owned productive, working forest, otherwise known as Eskdale MTB Park.
290m of elevation at the highest peak allows tremendous views across the very scenic Hawkes Bay & with over 80km of purpose-built cross-country trails, endless forestry roads and 4x4 tracks, it caters very well for the different styles of riding and abilities associated with the sport, including cross-country, freeride & downhill. Club members can enjoy riding at their own leisure, or racing amongst friends at anytime of the year on the pine needle covered, flowing dirt trails.
A permit is required for access and visitors can obtain a '3 Week Temp Permit' from any of the following outlets - Revolution Bikes (HvNth), Hastings Info Centre, The Hub (Hastings), Pedal Power (Taradale), Marewa Epic Cycles (Napier), Cycle & Kart Centre (Napier), Napier I-Site, Cranked Cycles (Napier), BayView 4 Square or Whitebay World of Lavendar (Eskdale).
