The Keirunga Gardens Arts & Crafts Society, founded in 1967, comprises twelve art, craft and interest groups, their activities centred around the Keirunga Homestead, built in 1906, amid the trees and shrubs of the Gardens, where Tui birds often sing. Groups include lovers of classical music, embroiders, folk artists, camera buffs, spinners and weavers, miniatures and dolls' houses, Morris Dancers, painters, potters, quilters and garden lovers.
